Adjectives are a fundamental part of language. We use adjectives to describe nouns in our everyday lives in a range of situations.
It is important for students to grasp the ideas around why we use adjectives and how they are used at an early age to improve on their creative writing skills and help broaden their vocabularies.
In this WIKI you will find four progressive lessons aimed at year 2/3 level. They begin by introducing adjectives with by involving students in basic games and getting them to write basic sentences and then progress to using adjectives to write their own creative stories using power-point.
The lessons cover the following Outcomes and Conventions in English.

W 1.3 Demonstrates emerging awareness of how to use conventional written symbols for expressing ideas and information.

An aim for these lessons is to have students working colaboratively together to gain knowledge in using ICT in the LAnguage learning area.
Throughout this set of four sequential lessons peer teacher is encouraged to allow students to work together, social constructivisom is an aim in our classroom setting and peer teacher is just one of the everyday activities that is encouraged to show this.


We selected to use Photostory, power point and electronic worksheets created in word as they are quite simple programs to teach smaller childrento learn and use. Also these programs are widely understood by teachers and almost always available to schools.
